In November 2007, the League pledged to support the research of Dario Fauza, MD, as he pioneers pre -and post-natal treatments for birth defects through fetal tissue engineering.  The League's support will enable Dr. Fauza to expedite his discoveries from the bench to the bedside, promising healthy lives for countless children who otherwise would not have survived to, or long after, birth.
