On May 16, 2018 the Boston Children’s Hospital League held its Spring Open Board Meeting at the Belmont Country Club. League President, Rachel Gilli, welcomed everyone and introduced two guest speakers from Boston Children’s Hospital. Rebekah Mannix, MD, MPH, co-director of the Brain Injury Center and Harvard associate professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine spoke about her pre-clinical research and large clinical trials focused on traumatic brain injury and concussion science. Vincent Chiang, MD, Chief of Inpatient Services, Vice Chair for the Department of Medicine, and Special Advisor to the Executive Vice President of Health Affairs shared about Boston Children’s Hospital’s latest projects and initiatives.
In conclusion, the League presented Hilary Smiley, Assistant VP of Children’s Hospital, with a check of $433,005 to the programs we support at the hospital plus a $200,000 pledge to the hospital which completes our 5 year $1,000,000 pledge.
